Superheat Recognized for Safety Leadership with Gold at IBR Safety Excellence Awards

At Superheat, safety isn’t just a program—it’s a shared responsibility, a mindset, and a daily commitment that starts long before we arrive on any job site. That’s why being recognized by our peers and industry leaders for how we live out that commitment means so much to our entire team.

We’re proud to announce that Superheat has earned the Gold Award in the Hard Craft Medium category at the 2025 Industry Business Roundtable (IBR) Safety Excellence Awards, held in Galveston, Texas. This recognition reflects the strength of our safety culture, the dedication of our workforce, and the continued evolution of our best-in-class systems and equipment.

Bret Cadenhead, Gulf Coast HSE Manager, and Mayra Meza, HR Business Partner, represented Superheat at the ceremony, accepting the award on behalf of the team members who drive our performance forward every day, especially those with boots on the ground working in the field.

The IBR Safety Excellence Awards highlight contractors across the Texas Gulf Coast who exceed compliance standards to lead with innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. This year’s winners were selected through a detailed two-phase process, beginning with a comprehensive documentation review and culminating in an in-depth site audit conducted by safety professionals and asset owner representatives.

Superheat was first nominated and shortlisted during the HASC Tailgate Extravaganza, and then invited to participate in a rigorous audit of our field practices and safety programs. We were recognized for our proactive leadership, robust training initiatives, and strong, measurable year-over-year improvement.

Winning Gold signifies that Superheat exceeds core industry standards—not just on paper, but where it matters most: in the field. It’s proof that we continue to deliver specialty on-site heat treatment solutions with safety at the center of everything we do.

“Receiving the Gold Award from IBR is not just a recognition of Superheat’s safety performance—it’s a testament to the unwavering commitment of every employee, supervisor, and leader across our organization,” said Bret Cadenhead. “This honor belongs to the people who show up every day with safety at the forefront of their actions. From the field crews to executive leadership, each person plays a critical role in building and sustaining a culture that values life, integrity, and accountability.

We are especially grateful to HASC and IBR for their dedication to advancing safety standards and for their continued efforts to make the Gulf Coast industrial sector a global leader in workplace safety. I couldn’t be more proud of our team. This award is more than a trophy—it reflects who we are and what we stand for as a company.”

Jamie Cox, Executive Director of Workforce & Safety, also shared, “This award highlights the strength of our culture and the dedication of our team. It’s a proud achievement that underscores our commitment to safety as a core value and motivates us to continue leading by example.”

We’re honored to be recognized by the HASC, IBR, and SEA audit teams, and we thank our client partners who challenge us to uphold these high standards daily. Most of all, this award reflects the Superheat people—those who stay sharp, speak up, and look out for one another every single day.
