January 2024 SWAT Winners for Safe On-site Heat Treatment Services

January 2024 SWAT winners, Jim, Patrick, and Ivan, for performing safe on-site heat treatment services.

Embedded in our operations is a robust safety culture, engaging every team member. Our SWAT (Safe Work Action Team) initiative and Human Performance Program empower employees to actively uphold safety standards.

Today, we proudly honor the exceptional efforts of Jim Higman – Unit Supervisor, Huntington Beach, CA, Ivan Ortiz – Field Technician, Houston, TX, and Patrick Gonzalez – Field Technician, Corpus Christi, TX — our SWAT winners for January 2024. Their unwavering dedication to safety is noteworthy, setting a stellar example for us all.

Jim was issued a hot work permit for a bakeout on piping. He discovered the pipe had not been properly blinded and informed Operations, who installed the proper blinding.

Patrick noticed garbage left behind on the job site that could become a tripping hazard. He let Operators know to inform team members to be diligent in keeping work areas clean.

Ivan witnessed tool usage that did not follow procedure. He quickly stopped the worker and reminded him to use the proper tool to prevent any risk, injury, or equipment damage.

Thank you to everyone who has diligently submitted SWAT cards in prior months. Your commitment to reducing risks and ensuring safe work practices on our job sites is truly commendable. Together, we foster a safer work environment for all!
